Citizen's: You can help by making sure that all hydrants are kept clear of obstructions so the Fire Department will have no issues if they need to use a hydrant for firefighting duties. It is noteworthy, to keep a three (3) foot diameter area clear around all hydrants as this aids in helping City staff when hydrant maintenance needs to be executed.
Please review the code illustrated within MN Fire Code. This code presents the City with some guidance as to what kind of clearance is required around any given fire hydrant.
